Granite State Choral Society Sings

This article is about the Granite State Choral Society.

Granite State Choral Society SingsThe Granite State Choral Society is in rehearsals, preparing for the launch of its 45th season.  Under the direction of Dr. Daniel Roihl, this non-auditioned singing group is currently working on a Veteran’s Day Concert and preparing to sing next week at the Dover Apple Harvest Festival.  This community non-profit organization is known for its outreach to the local community, spreading the love for the Arts within the Granite State and beyond.

Each season has two concerts, Fall and Spring and the annual concert attendance is 600 people.  The goal for the next five years is to encourage growth within the choir itself and increase outreach in attendance for concerts and local awareness.

Granite State Choral Society SingsChoir members range from ages 12 and up, and include novice to seasoned singers with a wide range of musical backgrounds and experience. Scholarships are offered for students from 12 to 22. Everyone is welcome to become a member!   If you don’t sing, volunteers are also enthusiastically appreciated.  Volunteers can handle ticket sales, set-up and breakdown for concerts, ushering at events, or running tables and booths at the variety of fundraisers held throughout the year.

The Granite State Choral Society is one of the few choruses in the Seacoast that is thriving and making an impact on their surrounding communities!  If you want to catch them in action, today, Saturday – October 5th at 2:30 pm, they will be performing in Henry Law Park in Dover.
